	I am an engineer with a lot of startup experience, including machine learning and artificial intelligence. I majored in math in college and eventually found AI/ML to be a good fit for my combination of interests in pure and applied math and related subjects. 	I learned about statistical ML first. I used a variety of these techniques in real products, including deep learning methods. I started to realize there were some limitations they had. This led to my interest in Kyndi, which used other types of methods from symbolic AI. Working there led to my interests in symbolic AI techniques like prolog, KRR, and ontologies.
