Sattam is a PhD Research Student at the Coventry University & Doctoral Researcher at the Institute for Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering working on Ontology Based Knowledge Sharing Across Different Manufacturing Domains such as Design, Assembly (Welding), Machining & Inspection (Metrology).

Previously he has worked as a KTP Research Associate at the University of Warwick with Smart Manufacturing Technology Ltd. (Nottingham) on Polymer Gears. He has also worked as a Research Assistant in Coventry University.

Sattam gained a B-Tech(Bachelor of Technology) in Mechanical Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology and an MSc (Master of Science) in Automotive Engineering from Coventry University.

Sattam's interest in Ontology lies in the fact that he is trying to Develop a Formal Manufacturing Ontology to Significantly Contribute Towards Seamless Knowledge Sharing Across Multiple Manufacturing Domains Such as Design, Assembly, Machining & Inspection.
