He is also the main developer of the MathPiper open source computer algebra system (http://mathpiper.org).<br /> <br /> Working on MathPiper lead Ted to study Prolog, which lead to studying formal logic, logic-based AI systems like Cyc, conceptual graphs, and ontology.
