Discussion

[12:04] RaviSharma:

  1. How important has been the role of presented Tools, Patterns, Languages, in the bio domains as well as their potential for use in related and not-related science (ST, STEM) areas / domains?
  2. What attempts are being made for interoperation of individually presented solutions in either developing future ontologies or solutions including them?
  3. How have past summits laid the scenarios for synergy in this year's topic?
  4. Remainder of Summit topics and review.

[12:06] AlexShkotin: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FQ5TdW3Ih7Pf7DT5rblbiZUe9orpJs6LnvGv5acteX0/edit

[12:14] RaviSharma: Gary - many thanks for putting together a great draft which reduces workload for many of us and goes towards the Communique

[12:16] RaviSharma: James - like your comments on open source, Github, virtual collaboration globally, presentation from others such as Knowwheregraph, contributions from graph, OWL and other people

[12:17] RaviSharma: 200 - 200000 terms are small 0 James? my be I did not get your comments right James?

[12:19] RaviSharma: James and Gary discussed the scale and terms and KGs

[12:20] Sierra Moxon: Better tools == LinkML . Shameless promotion.

[12:29] RaviSharma: James Chris and Robert commented on Scale of Terms, and methodology

[12:31] RaviSharma: Russel talked about EA Zachman, TOGAF etc. Said some were theory or business planning or enterprise related. Russel mentioned math 2x2 grid strength areas Zachman framework, were theory compared to ITIL, etc,

[12:33] RaviSharma: Crisp Data Modeling? Known methodologies mentioned by Russel.

[12:42] [12:55] Gary Berg-Cross: Small piece on The Linked data Modeling Language (LinkML) in the synthesis LinkML is another non-ontological resource (a modeling language) used to create schemas for interoperable and data reusable and discoverability. It is based on the Resource Description Framework (RDF) supporting improved data interoperability and can be used to create schemas for a variety of data types, including clinical data, biomedical data, and environmental data. LinkML schemas can be generated automatically from existing data in spreadsheets, which can save time and effort. Draft at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FQ5TdW3Ih7Pf7DT5rblbiZUe9orpJs6LnvGv5acteX0/edit?

[12:51] RaviSharma: Ravi Gary James and Sierra had discussion on wide range of topics including scale, filters, LinkML and OWL and deterministic relations among Data and ontologies and Graphs, video will summarize the same

[12:52] Sierra Moxon: That sounds intense!

[12:53] RaviSharma: Robert Rovetto raised questions on methodologies that were addressed by James and others.

[12:54] RaviSharma: Ravi also responded to Russel's EA frameworks and tools comments.

[13:01] RaviSharma: I realize the tweet is from Gary and Sierra will respond soon.

[13:04] RaviSharma: to James - Philosophy and ontology is also a favorite topic of Robert.
