Kai is a PhD candidate at the University of Arizona and an Ontologist at the Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office (BCO-DMO) at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. Kai contributes to various open source ontologies to promote environmental and life-science data interoperability, including the Environment Ontology (ENVO), units-of-measurement.org (UOM), and the Crop Dietary Nutrition Ontology (CDNO).
