David Epstein

Dr. David Epstein is the Data Manager at Tel Aviv University’s AUTOlab https://www.autolab.sites.tau.ac.il/team He holds a Ph.D. in Urban Planning from the University of Michigan. Before joining the lab, Dr. Epstein conducted program evaluations for the US Department of Transportation (Volpe Center https://www.volpe.dot.gov/ ) and urban research for the University of Baltimore (Jacob-France Institute https://www.jacobfrance.org/ ). His work centers around technology adoption, information use, and decision making.

Outside of the lab, Dr. Epstein is building a symbolic AI focused on role-playing games and emergent narrative. This project brought formal ontologies and modeling to his attention.
