Coming from a humanities (literature and philosophy) and aerospace robotics (auto-pilots) background, my deep introduction to Ontological AI came via Doug Lenat and his Cyc team at MCC and Utexas in the late '80s, doing rule-based common sense reasonsing. I gradually became a domain expert in Unified Cognitive Architectures, getting to personally know many 5thGen legends of AI via AAAI.

Two particular subjects were early focal points for me, that I integrated over time: the original 4thGen OODA cybernetic model, mostly Classified for tactical and strategic game theory logic; and Iben Browning's Anlage of the Entirety, a high dimensional semantic manifold in periodic table format of human science knowledge. This became a well developed paradigm by year 2000.

Then came a long AI Winter, that I passed mostly working in aerospace R&D, well aware that Ontological AI would return to the fore as computing caught up in our 6thGen present. I am now working on Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) Architectures as part of an elite circle of technologists and humanists. It is my belief that the Ontology Community will make unique critical contributions to the burgeoning NeuroSymbolic AI Frontier.
