Matteo Bianchetti

Matteo Bianchetti studied mathematics (MSc, 2017) and philosophy (PhD, 2021) at the University of Notre Dame, IN (USA). Matteo worked and published in computability theory and the epistemology of mathematics (in particular the cognitive contribution of spatial representations and metaphors to proof-finding). Matteo works as an ontologist in the financial industry for a company called Broadridge Financial Solutions (NY, USA). Connected to his study of human cognition and mathematical reasoning is Matteo's interest in the contributions of semantic knowledge representation to AI problems. Technically, Matteo follows developments that seek to improve the management of large and frequently changing ontologies. Pursuing also a more academic line of research, Matteo seeks to apply techniques concerning formal ontologies to the analysis of mathematical practice.
