Christian Scheller

Christian is the co-owner of REA Technology, a company that develops software solutions based on the REA ontology developed by prof. Willam McCarthy. Christian has been working with ontologies ever since he completed his education as a master of science in engineering in 1988.

Christian has investigated possible extensions to the REA ontology, including the addition of the concepts of possession, ownership and availability with the purpose of allowing a direct mapping between the REA ontology and "traditional" double entry accounting. Christian is also working on methods for weaving different ontologies together in order to achieve a broader coverage of the combined ontologies.

Christian has also participated in the development of the OIO Case and Document ontology that is used as a baseline for workflow and case management systems by the public sector in Denmark.
