Janet Singer

• For four decades has been an Independent researcher in foundational issues of systems science and systems engineering
• Academic career began on the liberal arts side, with a focus on religious studies and philosophy, before moving to mathematics/applied statistics and engineering systems
• For the last 14 years has served as liaison to the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) from the International Society for the Systems Sciences (ISSS)
• Co-lead of the Scientific Foundations project of the INCOSE Complexity, Uncertainty, and Emergence Working Group
