Jim Wilson

Jim Wilson assumed duties as President & CEO of the Open Applications Group (OAGi) in 2018. OAGi is a non-profit standards organization founded in 1995 for the purpose of developing interoperability standards. In July 2021, OAGi welcomed the Industrial Ontologies Foundry (IOF) as an organizational unit under OAGi.

Jim has worked on information standards for twenty two years. This work has supported a number of industries including agriculture, chemical, and aerospace. Jim has enjoyed collaborating with NIST on a number of projects over the last decade. Jim views ontologies as a potential game-changer for interoperability and looks forward to learning more.

Jim earned a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. He earned an MBA in Finance from Indiana University's Kelly School of Business in Bloomington, Indiana, United States. He lives in Wake Forest, North Carolina, United States with his wife and three boys.
