Jon Weers

Jon Weers is one of the lead developers on the OpenEI (Open Energy Information) project at the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL). Current work includes Semantic Mediawiki, one of several components powering the greater OpenEI platform, semantic integrations, and schema-less databases.

Jon joined NREL in 2010, coming from a background in enterprise application development for complex library systems including the Chicago and Denver public libraries. He has spoken on the merits of the semantic web and open data initiatives on numerous occasions around the world.
