Ontolog Forum
Ronald Fuller
Ronald works as a consultant in information management. He spent 6 years at Microsoft where he helped build the worlds first terabyte-sized OLAP cube, and created a database for his own use which grew to become the largest and most popular content management system within Microsoft. In the Army Reserve he served as Deputy to the CTO for US Central Command, Directorate of Intelligence, and as the Chief of Intelligence Systems for Afghanistan.
He believes the most effective ontologies are created by SME's within their own domain of expertise. Historical support for this idea can be found in the system of interconnected books used in double-entry bookkeeping and other early manual accounting systems, which he describes in The Ancient Secrets of Information Management.
