OntologySummit2009: Organizing Committee Conference Call - Thursday 18-Dec-2008
- This is the 1st conference call of the OntologySummit2009 organizing committee. The session is expected to be a brief (45 min. to 1-Hr. conference call so organizing committee members can get to know each other and to set the stage for the community-wide brainstorming and planning meeting that follows.

- meeting agrees the description looks fine, and suggest possibly tweaking with the following:
- Peter P. Yim: could we slip in standards to be unstood by both humans and machine
- Leo Obrst & Fabian Neuhaus: representing standards in a logical language allows for them to be expressed precisely, unambiguously and allow for automated consistency, validity checks etc.
- Peter Benson: beware of the use of "information" - let's mull over this on the [ontology-summit-org] list
- Peter Benson & Peter P. Yim: maybe the original tag line: "Ontologies as the Next Generation Standards" is actually better
