Abstract:
Mark Greaves: In this talk I will review the status of the DARPA's DAML program -- the flagship semantic web R&D program in the United States. DAML-funded researchers were key players in the development of OWL, OWL/S (OWL for Services), and SWRL (Semantic Web Rules Language), and they have created a large library of high-quality open source tools accessible at <http://www.semwebcentral.org>. The DAML program ends this year having exceeded its original goals. I will conclude with a discussion of the requirements for a new semantic web program at DARPA, and an invitation

to the Ontolog community.
