    • Thursday, 8-February-2007 - Dr. Matthew West presented the 4th Event in the "Database And Ontology" Mini-Series - Mr. Martin O'Connor, an EHR Systems Researcher from Stanford Medical Informatics gave an invited talk on "Efficiently Querying Relational Databases using OWL and SWRL" ...     • A Feb-2007 OntologyMeasurementEvaluation mini-series event - awaiting details
    • Thursday, 8-March-2007 - Dr. Matthew West presented the 5th Event in the "Database And Ontology" Mini-Series - Dr. Adrian Walker, CTO of Reengineering LLC., was our invited speaker. 6) Follow-ups from previous calls

  • doing something at the upcoming Semantic Technology Conference (May-2007, San Jose, CA, USA)
    • Kurt: think of doing face-to-face as a member get together by piggy-begging on other events, e.g. we've be doing this with the Protege conference, how about the Semantic Technology conference.   
      • Kurt will champion this for the upcoming Semantic Technology conference (May 20~24, 2007, San Jose, CA, USA)   
    • we probably won't do anything formal
    • maybe get people together for dinner, or for a drink
    • make sure we don't plan events that conflicts with that week

      • W3C is now officially a co-sponsor
      • stop press: Tom Gruber has just agreed to join us as a member of the organizing committee too!
      • the NIST Interoperability Week website is up now - see: http://www.mel.nist.gov/div826/msid/sima/interopweek/meetings.htm
      • Steve: there may be a small registration fee (to cover food, for example, as NIST is not allow to use taxpayer money for that) this year for the Interoperability Week (but hope this will not be a deterrant to people participating.)

    • Peter: I like to thank Doug Holmes, in particular, for what he told me at FOIS (Nov.2006) about what Tom Gruber said in the ISWC2006 keynote address, and his earlier remarks which in turn inspired what's making up the theme for the Ontology Summit this year.

      • Kurt & Ken offered help in the synthesis and editing
  • 8d. a Reminder: we are committed to coordinate some collaboratively authored articles (for each of our projects) that could be published to wikipedia, as a means to bring the message to a broader audience.
