- Post-F2F-post: http://ontolog.cim3.net/forum/ontology-summit/2007-04/msg00160.html
- What went well?
- Doug / Ken: everything seemed to have gone really well
- many communities were engaged and people conceived
- the goals seemed ambitious, surprised that so much got achieved
- the ability to accept dynamically evolving material into workshop was great! ... much more exciting than a conference that's planned six months in advance.
- What needs improvement?
- summit goal of "inclusiveness" got missed by some, especially in the beginning
- breakout groups and team assignments could have improved if planned ahead (but then, it does depend on the group dynamics at the time)
- What will we do differently next time? ... how? ...
- Follow-up action:
- Leo: will ping Nicola Guarino about doing a journal paper for "Applied Ontology"
- Olivier: would be nice to do an academic paper ... anyone?
- Ken: good idea to do a write-up and push it to wikipedia
9) New project proposals
- a call is out from Duane Nickull for collaboration between this community and the SOA community in there "Reference Architecture" effort, which we hope, will be ontology enabled. See: http://ontolog.cim3.net/forum/ontolog-forum/2007-05/msg00010.html
- please respond to the above thread, or e-mail Duane Nickull and Peter P. Yim if you are interested.
