Theme: Ontology Summit 2010: Creating the Ontologists of the Future

5th in the series of a 3-month annual event by and for the Ontology Community. This Summit is co-organized by Ontolog, NIST, NCOR, NCBO & IAOA

  • Co-chairs: Dr. Steve Ray & Professor BarrySmith

Goals

  • The goal of the 2010 Ontology Summit is to address a pressing need for competently trained individuals with ontology expertise. To achieve this goal we will produce a foundational corpus of knowledge on skill requirements, existing resources & practices, proposed training content, and potential certification criteria, for the next generation of professional ontologists.
  • To disseminate this knowledge in the form of a broadly distributed communique.
