Agenda & Proceedings

2. Roll Call:
- see above
- AlexGarcia intro:
- representing and acting as a liaison to the Bremen folks here.
- involved in the OASIS project and Woundontology projects
- can contribute some usecases
- extending OMV to fit their use
- OASIS project (Open architecture for Accessible Services Integration and Standardization). We are working on the website. This comes from a paper we are currently working on.
- Although the extensions we propose for the Ontology Metadata Vocabulary (OMV) [4] are, in principle, domain independent, our main interest lies in supporting repositories with a particular focus on supportive applications for elderly and disabled people. As part of the OASIS project (Open architecture for Accessible Services Integration and Standardization) [5], we are currently developing a repository for ontologies aiming to describe spatial-temporal scenarios as well as medical and technological information related to elderly and disabled populations, i.e. users with special needs. The OASIS project introduces an ontology-driven, open reference system, which will enable interoperability, seamless connectivity and sharing of content across services and ontologies in all domains relevant to applications for the elderly. Within this context we are working on a repository of ontologies that provides structured access and easy-to-extend descriptions of the ontologies it hosts. We envision that different services of the system will be able to search and select the ontologies and services as needed; our infrastructure enables thus a high degree of serendipity.
